Hello! I’m Fitar, a proud Colombian originally from the vibrant city of Medellín, and I grew up soaking in the sun and beauty of San Andrés Island. I’m a graphic and web designer and an illustrator—and who knows? Maybe one day I’ll dive into filmmaking!—fingers crossed!
My artistic journey doesn’t have a dramatic origin story. Instead, my work often grows from those quiet, intense moments when life feels overwhelming. I explore emotion, identity, and feminism through my art, using scratched textures, distorted figures, and shifting forms—both human and non-human. Some pieces are digital, others in oil, but all carry a raw honesty that mirrors lived experience. Each artwork is a fragment of my story, reflecting depression, anxiety, resilience, and the moments that make us feel both fragile and unbreakable.

¡Hola! Soy Fitar, orgullosamente colombiana. Originaria de la vibrante ciudad de Medellín, crecí disfrutando del sol y la belleza de la Isla de San Andrés. Soy diseñadora gráfica y web, ilustradora, y ¿quién sabe? Tal vez algún día me adentre en el cine. —¡dedos cruzados!
Mi camino como artista no tiene una historia dramática; más bien, mis obras surgen de esos momentos intensos y silenciosos en los que la vida se siente abrumadora. Exploro la emoción, la identidad y el feminismo a través de texturas rayadas, figuras distorsionadas y formas cambiantes —humanas y no humanas. Algunas piezas son digitales, otras en óleo, pero todas transmiten una honestidad cruda que refleja la experiencia vivida. Cada obra es un fragmento de mi historia, reflejando la depresión, la ansiedad, la resiliencia y esos momentos en los que nos sentimos tanto frágiles como fuertes.
